TAPPI Seeks Abstracts for TAPPICon 2027

Conference will take place April 24-28 in Indianapolis

The TAPPICon 2027 Invitation to Present is officially open, inviting professionals across the global forest products industry to submit abstracts for consideration at next year’s conference. TAPPICon 2027 will take place April 24-28, 2027, in Indianapolis, IN.

“TAPPICon will be the ideal platform for showcasing innovative approaches to operational challenges and sustainability initiatives that are driving our industry forward,” says Tyler Mast, TAPPI division manager.

The event will bring together thought leaders, innovators, and decision-makers from across the forest products sector to explore the technologies, solutions and best practices shaping the industry’s future.

Organizers are seeking presentations grounded in real-world experience rather than theory — from operational challenges solved and sustainability initiatives advanced, to smarter approaches for running a mill. Selected presenters will have the opportunity to:

  • Establish themselves as subject matter experts by sharing findings that go deeper into focused, targeted content their peers can put to immediate use
  • Elevate everyday mill operations and efficiency by giving attendees practical tools they can implement as soon as they return to the mill
  • Help drive the industry forward by contributing to a technical program centered on solutions, guidance and next-generation thinking

TAPPICon’s expanded technical program will feature presentations spanning a broad range of forest products industry segments and interest groups, including:

  • Coating, Printing and Surface Enhancement
  • Engineering
  • Nonwovens
  • Paper and Board
  • PIMA Management
  • Process Control
  • Process and Product Quality (P&PQ)
  • Pulp Manufacture
  • Recycled Paper Technical Association (RPTA)
  • Tissue
  • Women in Industry
  • Young Professionals

Industry professionals interested in presenting are encouraged to submit their abstracts through TAPPI’s Speaker Management System by October 2, 2026. For more information or to submit an abstract, visit the Invitation to Present page.
